Marriage is oneness; how you treat each other reflects your understanding of and commitment to protecting that oneness.  Life is so short.  Learn to say "thank-you", "I'm sorry," "I forgive you," "You look terrific!" ,"I want to change," "You look busy--how can I help?" and "I love you" and mean it.  This "happily-ever-after" thing doesn't just happen on it's own because selflessness doesn't come naturally.  And yet when time is invested in serving one another and tenderness cultivated in how you interact with each other, a marriage will start to produce a fragrance so exsquisitely irresistible, and a foundation so incredibly unshakable that...well, just give it a go and you'll see! 

(No spouse will ever be able to fill the deepest longings of your heart.  That is a place only God can reach into and fill.  Invite Him into your life and into your marriage and you will be amazed at the peace that comes from knowing Him and living in His presence.  He is the designer of marriage and in Him alone is the key to changing a marriage into a reflection of His beautiful, unconditional, "that they may become one" love.)
